How to use the clicker ?

• You will need some treats to reward your dog during training sessions. Treats should be small, but very tasty and taken from your dog's daily food allowance
• Choose a quiet place without distractions for your training sessions
• To get your dog to associate the clicking sound with a reward, you must first “charge the clicker”
• To do this, click and give the reward immediately after (do not click and reward at the same time, the treat must follow the click)
• Repeat this until your dog is paying attention to the sound and waiting for his reward
• If you click by accident, remember to always reward your dog right after

Instructions for teaching a specific behavior :

• Encourage the desired behavior
• Click as soon as it happens
• Reward immediately after
• Add a visual or verbal indicator (e.g. “Sit”) once the behavior becomes consistent
